Established in 2008, the Speranza Foundation is a nonprofit private operating foundation.
Our signature program, The Lincoln City Fellowship, was founded on the belief that artist contributions are vital to the health and progress of our world and is designed to partner with individual artists in their career so that they can thrive within the rigors of creative life and realize their artistic goals.
The name Lincoln City comes from the street name where founder, Kathleen Treat, first invited a group of musician friends to record an album at her house. The house became a place of artistic creation, community, and rejuvenation - and the birthplace of the idea for Lincoln City Fellowship.
Over the years, the Lincoln City Fellowship has served a community of over 60 artists who have made award winning albums, published literary work, created new theatre pieces, and produced acclaimed global photography and visual art exhibitions.
In addition to funding the Lincoln City Fellowship, the Speranza Foundation has also supported media projects and impactful organizations that are working to address injustice and promote human dignity.
