program

The Lincoln City Fellowship accepts new artists each year through an application process.  Selection is guided by a discerning committee of creative advisors, and prioritizes professional artists who embody drive, curiosity, generosity, and artistic purpose.

All Lincoln City Fellows are invited to participate in monthly Community Programming and apply for an Artist Cohort.

New and returning artist applications for the 2024 Lincoln City Fellowship are closed.

ARTIST COHORTS

These curated artist cohorts are unique tracks designed to nourish creative growth for artists seeking similar support in their artistic journey.

Given the limited spots in each Artist Cohort, each artist's ability to contribute to the cohort's experience, clarity of goals, availability, and commitment to the virtual and in-person programs will be key factors in the selection process.

  • The Contemplative Cohort beckons artists craving pause, reflection, play, rest, and rejuvenation.

Artists in this cohort meet for 8 weekly, 1 hour long, virtual sessions prior to embarking on a 5-night retreat in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The retreat, co-produced by the Nomadic School of Wonder, offers a haven for artists to recharge and bond through collaborative creative workshops, leisurely downtime, and nourishing meals.

All participants are assigned a role in a play that they read, embody, and navigate together as a cast through a rich landscape of text and imagery in another time and place.

All materials and course fees are included. In addition, each cohort member receives a $1000 stipend to support their ability to participate in the program and travel to Speranza’s end-of-year showcase in Los Angeles.
